PICTURE FRAME, Shellwork

Photograph (ex-newspaper or magazine) of Prince edward (later Edward VIII) while at the Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, between 1909 - 1911. Ornamented with elaborate shellwork, mounted onfaded green and blue velvet, framed in gilt composition frame. From the Harry Baker Shell Collection. Harry Baker (d. 1974) had a shell museum in Fremantle. Shells from wide geographical source, including WA and Southern Europe.
