Two individual teapots from the wreck of a Chinese trading ship near Ujang Pandang in Indonesia, wrecked about 300 years ago. Bromilow bought the teapots from a friend who acquired them from villagers who excavated the wreck The teapots are I-Hsing ware - a factory west of Shanghai. a. is reddish brown b. is a mauvish colour. Both have Chinese characters on the base. Ref. Neave-Hill, 1975 : 147-8.
