TANKARD, silver, 'R.M.L.'

Baluster shaped body with plain design broken only by silver band 2/3 way down the body and a monogram of R.M.L. Base of body curves in to join an applied base. dome shaped lid. Scroll handle which curves back at the base finishing with a heart shaped plate. Typical of the style for most of the 18th Century. London hallmark for 1781-2.
