WAISTCOAT

CH1980.164

Cream silk embroidery on collar, lapels, down front and along waistline, also on top of pockets. Embroidery work also incorporates silk ribbon. Silk self-covered button down front, 2 pockets, stand-up collar, short lapels. Difficult to date, as the waistcoat does not tally with the feature of any particular period of the 19th century but is probably from the latter half.
