"...decorated with finely drawn group in coloured enamels representing "Lady of the Han Dynasty teaching her children". Yung- Ching or early Keen-Lun period. (Damaged.)" There are three children. "Brocaded" borders with three reserves containing flowers and three gold designs. Very similar to Plate 121, page 120, Anthony Du Boulay: CHINESE PORCELAIN, 1963 & Gulland, Vol. 1, Plate 168 & pages 219-20. Ann Roberts: A 'famille-rose' plate decorated in ruby back style with a maiden seated amongst precious objects watching three boys at play and a small dog at her feet, the everted rim with fruit-shaped floral panels on a grisaille cell-diaper ground.
