Abstract background design in shades of green and yellow, green band around centre and just above base with simpler design between these bands and flowers in pink and yellow above the centre band. Green painted handles. Marks on base: "F \ 5 \ D (medieval ship) R \ C \ B-HEAD \ G.W. (painted in green) \ 1088." from the Della Robbia Co. Ltd. Birkenhead, Cheshire.
