VASE, 'Darbyshire Pottery', Thai face

Vase, wall hanging, white unfired in shape of Thai person's face, complete with ears, eyes, nose, eyes, mouth and furrowed brow. Face adorned with large circular earrings and necklet at narrow base, hair tied in topknot with decorative band at top of vase. Opening at end of topknot, decorative band near hairline used to disguise six holes spread at even intervals to hold flowers. Reverse, impressed centrally, 'DARBYSHIRE' swan image with boomerang image below, 'POTTERY' beneath. Refer to record, H2008.123 for photograph of maker's mark.
