Lady's fitted dressing case with Brown Canvas outer cover. Initials M.L.P. in gilt on case, in red on cover. Hallmarks: London, 1918. Mappin & Webb maker's mark appears to have been stamped over another maker's mark.
Contents fixed to lid: Shoe horn (plate), Silver mounted hairbrush, tortoiseshell comb in leather case. Contents loose in case: Match box (leather covered), 6 glass containers with silver tops, leather folder of blotting papers and pen, mirror in leather folder and small clothes brush.
