A. BRISE FAN B. FAN HANDLE

a. Brise fan, the sticks finely fretsawn with twiggy motifs, all so identical as to suggest that the motifs were sawn into a block of bone which was subsequently sliced into thin sheets; joined by a cream silk ribbon and a white metal pin at the base. Possibly Indian?
b. Handle, probably for a circular or brise fan, of coursely designed drilled and sawn bone, the upper part divided to hold the leaf or sticks. Possibly Indian?
