Carved and pierced ivory guards in the 'fontange' shape ie: guards shorter than central sticks. Central sticks part ivory, part wood. All appear hand carved. Painted with small floral design in pale pink and blue with gold. Traces of original pale blue silk fabric. Replaced with green fabric with black net with gold design. Metal ring.
