Luigia (known as 'Gina') at sixteen was the oldest of two sisters and one brother. Her mother, Luisa and her siblings travelled to WA to be reunited with her father Francesco who had immigrated four years earlier. In 1964 she married Giuseppe Tedesco and together they raised three children.
