Helena and her daughters, Halina and Zofia, arrived in Cunderdin via Siberia, Persia and East Africa where they lived for eight years. Helena worked throughout country WA as a cook before marrying Albert Kowalewski. They had a son Hendrick and spent most of their lives in Bassendean, WA.
