Clotilde was born in Vasto, Italy, a farmer & fisherman's daughter, one of 8 kids. She went to school before the war for 4 years. It was very hard for the family after the war. They were a family of 10 with no home & land. In her early teens Clotilde met with her future husband Nicola's family. Dad (Nicola) was in Australia already. They married by proxy in 1953 & Clotilde came to Australia in 1954 & they started a family of 3 children, 7 grandchildren & 1 great-grandchild. Mum (Clotilde) was a wonderful mother to all.
