Hi
I came across this website while I was messing around typing my name into Google (W.K. Youngson), as you do sometimes. I'm 66, retired as fauna consultant and have more time than I know what to do with!
Mum and Dad are both dead, and I have one younger brother, John Carlyle Youngson, named after my maternal grandfather. Carlyle is an interesting name in itself. I'm named after my Dad's father.
We are a fairly distant family who moved from Scotland to Zambia and then to Western Australia in 1965 or so. I immediately got called up and eventually sent to Vietnam as a medic, which pissed me off somewhat.
I don't know if this info is of any use to you, but there you have it.
Kind regards
Ken Youngson

Hello Ken
If you ever read this page again, I would be interested to hear from you. Can I assume your family lived in the Dalziel/Motherwell/Wishaw area? Would be keen to try to rule them in/out of some Youngson lines I am researching. Just add a post to the Lanarkshire board on family history site www.rootschat.com and I should see it.
