Initially stayed with wife's uncle's family (Barbarich) in Middle Swan before working in the Sawmill Industry. Wife Dragica and children Zaga and Mirela arrived in May 1961. Another daughter Lara was born in 1967. In 1968 settled in Bunbury and operated his own food vending business until his death from lung cancer in 1978.
