No hostels, parents stayed at Sharftsbury Hotel for 13 months. Father earnt £7, rent £10. Believe SS MOOLTAN first migrant ship after the WW11. Could not buy as all rent houses, no building materials available. Back to England, 1948 SS MALOJA. £3 left. Returned 1952 SS ASTURIAS. Times better, bought house and settled happily.
