Edward & Leonora were part of the Soldier Settlement Scheme & took up their allotment on Group 102 on the 16/3/1925, 11 kms from Denmark. They walked off the property on the 12/05/1929. Edward worked on road construction in the South West under the Sustenance Scheme (work for small government payout) & the family moved around with him, living in tents until the mid 30's. They moved to Bunbury & Edward worked on the Harvey Irrigation Channel. They had 7 children in total & are survived by 5.
