Clara and her two infant sons joined husband Albert in Bridgetown. Had four more children. Sometimes took in laundry, had a Greengrocery and a Fish n Chip Shop. Won awards including 'Champion' for breadmaking Royal Perth and local shows. Befriended some Catterick Soldiers Settlers' families whose living conditions were difficult.
