Rose Wood was born in Ulverstone, Lancashire in 1908 & departed England for Australia in 1929, to arrive at Pingaring. She married Fred Slarke, Lake Grace. They had 5 children & 17 grandchildren. A loving mother who always remained an 'English Rose'. Died 2nd October, 1969.
