Cornelis Wisse born Zierikzee, small Dutch fishing island, town records show his family date back to 1765. Father died 1934, then Cornelis joined the Dutch Navy. Served from 1934 - 1948. During WWII met and married Frances McCarthy 1943 at St Patricks Hall / Church, Fremantle. Stationed Batavia, away for long periods, finally settled in new home in 1948, lived and raised four children: Mathew, Mary, Bruce & Catherine.
