Arrived with his infant daughter Phyllis and his sister Annice Haigh and her family. Married English woman Ethel Shepherd in 1915 in Perth, and together raised their daughters Annice and Alberta, and twin sons George and Arthur, plus Ethel's daughter Emily. He died aged 49.
