Gladys is the daughter of Mary (nee Watkins) and John White. (Browning - White). She came to Australia at the request of her father to join her sister, Muriel. Gladys married John Hepton of Northumberland, who arrived in Albany. They married on 5th October 1931 and lived in Narrogin and then Bunbury.
