Family settled in Perth for 18 months, then went to live & work in Karratha for about seven years. Returned to Perth for schooling of sons, as high school in Karratha had first year only. Father & sons worked in building industry - sons still in this line of work in Perth and Brisbane. Parents retired to Mandurah.
