Marjorie & Richard West left England on 4th December 1920 arriving in Fremantle on the "Orvieto" as part of the first "Group Settlement Scheme". They settled at Yanmar (Manjimup) and were provided with a tent, axe and spade to begin their new lives. They had three daughters, Mamie the first child born at the settlement, then June & Laurie.
