Gittel Wende (nee Fishman) was born in Wladawa, Poland. At an early age, her father died & she worked & helped support the family. She was an accomplished seamstress. She cared for her nephew on the journey to Australia. Married Sam Wende, they had three children, Les, Esther & Fay. Her family was her life.
