Douglas, Betty and children Marilyn and Carol spent 9 months in a Nissan hut at Graylands Hostel. Then 9 months in a caravan on a block up a dirt track in Melville (Joiner St) where Doug built their home. No relatives here for support. Moved to Busselton in 1965.
