Came to Perth as member of the Enrolled Pension's Force. Fought in the Crimea, served in India & Ireland where he met Katherine. Resided at the Barracks, St Georges Tce. Moved to Cobb & Co Coaching house, Kojanup. Later bought land at Chokerup on the Gordon River. Nine children, one died as a baby.
