Elsie was 58 years old when she arrived in WA, but she settled well and became housekeeper for the Buzzard Family of Applecross. Eventually her two sons, Leslie and Roger, also migrated to WA. She retired to Hillcrest Lodge in Geraldton in 1987 and died at Nazareth House in 1992.
