Read their story

Married fiance Charles Battley Swift the day she arrived in 1914. Both worked extra developing the farm. Charles died in 1920 when Ida was pregnant with her fifth child. She did teaching to help pay for the farm workers. Honoured by Shire with JP Award. Retired from justice work with women & children. Helped Library at PMH. Loved by four daughters & one son.
