John Clark Warnock arrived in Albany from Scotland on the 'RMS Oroya' in 1888. He established an orchard & grazing property 'Eastvale' in Mount Barker. He was followed soon after by his brothers, Andrew & Thomas. John married Emmeline Duck in 1897 & they they had seven children.
