Signed on Imperial Water Police 1.3.1856. Spn Coxswain of Water Police sailing vessel. Suffered severe deprivation and suffering during chase and recapture of escaping convicts at Shark Bay. Died age 41. Due to effects of this ordeal received a Commendation from the Governor of WA. Family well known in building and shipping.
