Charles & Elsie with their family of five, were part of the 116 Group Settlement Scheme in Tingledale. Charles was a merchant seaman & served in World War I. Elsie suffered from arthritis & was advised by her doctor to find a warmer climate. They left Tingledale in 1944 to retire in Perth.
