Read their story

Jelke (Jack) & Jantje (Janet) migrated to Australia to raise their family (of two children) in a country that presented new opportunities away from war-torn Europe. The family predominately lived in the Kwinana/Rockingham districts. Jogchum (John) moved with his wife Rhonda to Melbourne in 1970, where they had 2 children, Lindsay and Allison, each married with 2 children. Aukje (Alice) married John Alexander and has 2 children, Deborah and Tamara. Deborah has two children. Jack and Janet's third child, William, was born in 1960. William is married to Mieke Blanksma, and they have 3 children together, Karin, Christopher (Jack) and Michael.

"Thanks for the opportunities you gave us.”
