Arrived as a family with 3 children, 6-4-1 years old in Fremantle. My brother Albert came with us. My husband found work the the day after arrival. We could not speak English, we felt like going back home, but we survived, and after 21 years we went back for a holiday.

Leo and Maria had two more children, a boy Robbie and their youngest, a girl, Yvonne. I married Yvonne 8/1/1983 and we had three children. As of 2022 we have been married for 39 years. All five children from Leo and Maria are all alive. Maria passed away 19/10/2014 aged 87.
