Ben arrived to work at the Kwinana Oil Refinery and was a mechanic. Blue eyed, 5ft 9ins, aged 19 with many dreams and ambitions. He loved the wide open spaces and wildlife, later breeding budgies and rare parrots. Dad also worked regretfully at Wittenoom in WA.
