Charles' wife & two daughters arrived the same year. Owned a greengrocer's business in Subiaco & Shenton Park. In 1940 he became a poultry farmer in Jandakot & in the 50's he had an orchard in Chidlows. Charles was a very hard worker with an impish sense of humour.
