Mike, Carol, Shane & Jaqueline emigrated to WA in 1973 as a young family, to join Mikes brother Brian & his wife, Margaret, who had arrived twelve months before. Mike & Carol's third child, Lee was born in Australia in 1976. The family settled in the Wanneroo Shire and still reside in Wanneroo.
