After trying to establish vineyards in the Swan Valley, dad became successful in gold mining. He never returned to Italy. He married Mona Veronica Gleghorn in December, 1928 & they lived in Boulder, Southern Cross, Hilton Park and Fremantle. They had three children: Inez (1933), Louis (1934) and Brian (1944).
