Ellen Amelia Towells arrived in Fremantle on the ORAMA on 10 December 1928. She was employed as housemaid to the Anglican Bishop of Bunbury until her marriage to Sydney Edward Savage, in 1932. Her lifelong service to the RSL was rewarded with life membership. Ellen died in 1989.
