My Great Grandfather Thomas Joseph Torpy the 9th child born 1873 Myles Flat, EaglehawkVic.and died 1958 East Coolgardie Western Australia.
He was married to Annie Goldsworthy they had a tailors shop and his brother Stephen worked at the mine until his death.
My grandfather Richard Torpy was Thomas’s son he was a pipe fitter and was born in Boulder W.A and married Florence Mabel Johnston of Brown Hill Boulder on 11th June 1927.there first child was Richard Seddon Torpy.Then my father Ronald Andrew Torpy and a third son Brian Torpy. They split up so I didn’t know my grandfather very well. My dad Ronald had five children Stephen,Trevor,Rodney which is me,Paul and a girl Melissa.
Just a small thing my brother Stephen was born on the 25 of December the same day (CHRISTMAS DAY) as Thomas and Ellens first born Stephen on the ship coming to Australia.
