Francesco arrived alone and stayed with his brother, Rosario. A year later, his wife, Rosa and son, Salvatore arrived. In 1955, the first family home was purchased in George St, East Fremantle. Francesco was also responsible for sponsoring other relatives from Italy, namely Vince Di Francesco, Giovanni, Calabrese and Guiseppi Palermo.
