Attended school at Fairbridge Farm and then worked in the South West and Perth. Married James Tooke from Dardanup in 1942. They had 4 girls. Alice still resides in Bunbury. She has never returned to England.

  • Alice married James Samuel Tooke (Jim). They four daughters, Jill, who married Rodney Smith (two daughters Nerolie and Gemma), Helen, who married Robyn Lynch (three sons Matthew, Seton and Andrew), Annette, who married Danny Gould (two daughters Emily and Kate), and Wendy who married Michael Dixon and had three sons (Rhys, Bryn and Kent).
    After Fairbridge she moved to Perth and was a nanny for a wealthy family in West Perth.
