Barnardo's London 1928 -1932. Fairbridge Pinjarra 1932-1936. Sent to the unknown as an orphan. Survived adversity to become a woman of strength, courage and determination. Never bemoaned her hard start in life. Reunited with siblings in 1980. We salute you Mum! Graham Grimes, Denise Follett and Pamela Herbert nee Grimes.

This lady was on the Jervis Bay landed in Freo. My father and his brother were on the same ship. The youngest was killed in the war. How is this lady faring? She was only 11 when she landed.
