The abovemention arrived with parents and four siblings. The family were met at the wharf by a family of Williamsons. Hannah Thompson and Mrs Williamson were sisters. William Thompson worked at the abattoirs at South Beach. He eventually became a foreman for the British Posphate Commission. He married Lily Porter and had one daughter.
