Richard Jermyn Thompson - Engineer in Dublin, Ireland, visited Western Australia 1911. Joined AIF 5th Division 1916. Fought in Belgium/France 1916-18. Granted leave to Dublin 1919 to assist development of 'Thomond' automobile with inventor James Jones. Married Pauline Mary Jones in 1919, returning together to WA on troopship THEMISTOCLES in 1920. Descendants total 61.
