Read their story

Eileen, Harry, Jill & Edna Thirkettle arrived knowing no-one with 6 tea-chests and suitcases . We left a comfortable home to live in a hostel and then a flat. We waded in swamps, learnt about chopping wood, tried to understand Australian slang and experienced a wash-house.
