Read their story

Jozsef & Georgina left Pécs during the 1956 Hungarian uprising, walking 50kms in the snow to cross into Jugoslavia. After living in a refugee camp for some months, they set sail from Trieste on the AURELIA via the Suez Canal, the first ship through after the 1956 Suez crisis.
