Engineer Oscar Taussig born Pilsen, 1877, died Sydney 1958. Arrived in Australia with his wife, Bertha, having first ensured that his three children had left Austria safely. He joined his daughter, Marianne Korwill and family in Perth, later moving to Sydney. Taught UWA German Department. Interest in comparative European history.
