Read their story

Baptised Henry Tate, he later added his Father's name George. A clerk in the English Railways. He left when 19 to "make his fortune" on the WA Goldfields. In early 1896 he fell down a mine shaft at Menzies. Later he bought land at Karping on the Hotham River.
