Tanas first worked as a farm labourer in the wheatbelt. In the 1930's he settled in Morawa, where he became a wheat and sheep farmer. In 1938 he brought his brother Kuzman out to Australia & in 1939, his wife Pata, children, Michael & Spasa, father Tase, Lazanka and Louis (Kuzman's family).

  • there are records in the Morawa Museum to confirm that Tanas Taseff farmed in Morawa W.Australia, he was known locally as"Tony".
